After they molt, they shed their skin and fly off into the distance. They leave their skin behind and it’s creepy. Scared me as a 10 year old, still makes me jump as a 29 year old.

It’s Been A Long Time!

I know I haven’t really posted here in a while.  Work has kept me busy, as always, and school hasn’t yet loosened its vice grip on my free time.  Any free time I have had has been spent playing around in Xcode and iOS development, or reading up on HTML5, or a variety of other side projects.

That isn’t to say I’m all work.  A lot has happened since my last update:

  • The Packers won the Super Bowl
  • I finally jumped on board the Apple bandwagon and *gasp* bought a MacBook
  • I visited Seoul, South Korea and finally got to experience my *other* side a bit (having already been to Germany this was a must)
  • I also visited Shanghai and Beijing in China.  Shanghai is an impressive city and Beijing is brimming with culture

There are just a few weeks left of school now.  Once classes are done, expect to see me get my online presence in order.  Between The Steel CageHey Hey ListenShorts For Hochuli (yes, seriously), and this site, it’s about time I coordinate things a bit!

Save a Life, Be a Marrow Donor!

On NPR this morning, I heard a story about a woman who began a campaign to find a bone marrow donor to save her life.  She wasn’t able to find a donor, but was able to receive what she needed from an umbilical cord (crazy!).  In the process, she was able to get hundreds, if not thousands of people to sign up for the National Marrow Donor Program.  By proxy, she got me to sign up too!  I urge you, too, to consider signing up – especially if you are of a minority descent.
